About the Program
Our Ambassadors are special kids with incredible stories who are selected, along with their families, to serve as ambassadors to Children’s Specialized Hospital Foundation and Children's Miracle Network. In this role, they help to raise awareness and generate funds by participating in corporate and fundraising events throughout the year and appearing in various marketing materials. Children's Specialized Hospital Foundation raises more than $8 million each year for CSH. By sharing their experience, showing their gratitude for their care providers and helping to spread the word about the importance of pediatric hospitals, ambassador children and their families are an important part of this effort.
-
Ambassadors and their families use their voice and likeness to help Children’s Specialized Hospital Foundation generate awareness and raise critical funds through corporate and fundraising events throughout the year.
-
If your child is selected as an ambassador, you become an “ambassador family.” It is a commitment for everyone involved. Here are some things to consider before you nominate an Ambassador Child. Ambassador families should:
Be flexible and dependable.
Be comfortable sharing their child’s story in front of groups of people, large or small, through video, print, photography and written stories.
Be open to appearing at events and with media.
Have reliable transportation in order to attend events; families are invited to attend approximately eight events annually across New Jersey.
Have received care at Children’s within the last 3 years, and currently be medically stable.
Nominated child should be 2-20 years old.

The CMN Family will work closely with the Foundation throughout their year of service and may participate alongside the four All-Star families when appropriate.
-
Each year, four All-Star Families will be selected.
These families will serve as the Foundation's primary ambassadors for the calendar year and will be regularly featured in Foundation initiatives, campaigns, events and storytelling opportunities.
