Bonnie Rodriguez Honored with Inaugural NJBIZ Board Leadership Award

For six years, she has brought her whole heart to help children with complex medical needs. Now NJBIZ has named Bonnie Rodriguez one of New Jersey's most outstanding board leaders.

In her professional life, Bonnie Rodriguez is passionate about helping patients receive the care and innovations they need to live healthier lives. As Vice President, Health Care Compliance for Johnson & Johnson MedTech, she leads a global team focused on enabling compliant growth and supporting the delivery of life-changing medical technologies to patients and caregivers worldwide. For Bonnie, compliance is ultimately about making it possible for the right products and services to reach the people who depend on them.

At Children's Specialized Hospital Foundation, that passion comes to life in a deeply personal way. While her professional role focuses on improving patient outcomes through innovation and access to care, her board service helps create opportunities for children with complex health needs to thrive. Whether in the boardroom or the workplace, Bonnie is inspired by the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and families.

Now, that dual commitment is being recognized. Rodriguez, who serves as Secretary of the Children's Specialized Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees, has been named one of the inaugural honorees of the NJBIZ Board Leadership Awards, a new statewide program celebrating board members whose governance, expertise, and commitment have made a meaningful difference for their organizations and communities.

Launched this year, the awards recognize leaders selected for their strategic impact, engagement, and contributions to the boards they serve. Rodriguez and her fellow honorees were celebrated at a ceremony on August 4 at The Marigold in Somerset, and featured in a special NJBIZ supplement. She was nominated by John Perez, a colleague at Johnson & Johnson, who called her "the kind of board leader every nonprofit hopes to have."

Since joining the Board in 2020, Rodriguez has approached her service with preparation, consistency, and genuine belief in the children and families CSH Foundation serves. Her governance lens helps strengthen the accountability and long-term strategy behind the stewardship of every donation.
